Cadeau

It has been a long time since I last updated my website but spring is there and gardening takes a lot of my time. Anyway, I found a few hours this morning to create this engraved initial inspired by the ms Rawl. B. 499 from the Bodleian Library.

I told you recently about an embossing I intented to use within a calligraphic work, here is the result.

I'm not happy with it... at all. I'll have to try something else.

metal vine

Trying to improve my engraved white vine.

Better than the first try but still some work to do.

Tool

To grant some requests, here is a picture of the new tool I made recently.

It's a simple plate of zinc with some grooves, welded to a steel handle.

Experiment

A quick experiment with indian ink and a new handmade tool.

No idea on what to do with it but I like it anyway.

Moon

First try with embossing on an old plate of zinc with a carbon paper between it an the embossed paper.

I'm quite happy with it, I intend to complete it with a fragment from the Satiricon by Petronius, the bit that starts with : "As when, in the sleep-bringing night dreams sport with the wandering eyes ..."
