On the wall - 1

Some progress in the decorating of my gallery, I've just completed the first step.

For the time being we have a fragment from L'Eté by Albert Camus in uncial script and the beginning of Hyperion by John Keats in gothic script.
I'm still wondering which text will be the third one.

More cadels

Two new cadels in the gallery.

This time it's a T and a Y (click  on the letters to see them).
I had to build up the Y from bits out of others initials because it's quite rare and I couldn't find an historical one.

9x6

I'm in the process of installing my own gallery and I just hung the nine hexagrams of the I Ching still in my possession.

One can see the reflection of the opposite wall where I started to calligraphy some texts to brighten up the room.

I hope to be able to show more pictures soon and above all to open the gallery with a nice exhibition.

Cadeau III

I really like the "cadeau" initials engraved in zinc. So much that I made one for myself, still inspired by the same manuscript.

I may have kept it a bit too long in the acid bath, it's very fragile but anyway, I like it very much.

Fingerprint(s)

During the few past weeks I've quite busy with gardening but also with this :

I drew a large version of one of my finger prints and filled in the parts which should have been inked with lines conjuring up the idea of more fingerprints, a kind of mise en abîme...
I spent loads of time on it but I'm very happy with the result.

More details can be seen here or here, the whole drawing being available there.

Cadeau

It has been a long time since I last updated my website but spring is there and gardening takes a lot of my time. Anyway, I found a few hours this morning to create this engraved initial inspired by the ms Rawl. B. 499 from the Bodleian Library.
