On May 4 & 5, I will exhibit at the Chapelle Saint-Ourzal in Porspoder.
In addition to my calligraphy, I will also exhibit my photos.
The exhibition takes place from 2pm to 5pm on both days and I will be there to scribble a little, just to show what can be done with a little ink and a few nibs :-)
I hope that many of you will come to see me:-)

Nothing is impossible
A friend of mine, an artisanal & organic baker, gave me a piece of charred bread from her oven.
To thank her, I asked her if she had a quote to submit to me and she chose Mark Twain.
I crushed, first dry and then with a mixture of gum and water, the charcoal and I did this:

Bilingual
After a first course given in French and English (with an Italian translator to complete the picture) in MiroModo, Italy this winter and, in anticipation of other courses of the same type, I decided to compose small panels to identify the preferred language of the trainees I am addressing.
As I only speak French and English, it's not too difficult to do, here are the first copies.
the reproductions (no, I didn't compose each copy manually) are less good but still usable, so that you can better distinguish the patterns, here is a better quality version of each side.

blue K
Back from Belgium where I spent an excellent time teaching courses on Celtic decoration, I return to another obsessive practice... the filigrees of course!
A little K to thank a friend for her help.
The letter is about 3.5cm high and is made with a blend of Prussian blue and cobalt blue.

Waldeinsamkeit
That's it, I've finished inking the white vine.
The letters are in walnut stain, the colours of the vine are made with watercolour earth.
And for those who do not speak German, this term refers to the feeling of harmony with nature experienced when walking alone in the forest.

Series of failures
Well, Guillevic inspires me a lot but I keep screwing up my compositions.
So I started another project with a white vine with autumnal hues.
It's not over yet, but it's taking shape.
